Honest builders don't ask for more than $1000 upfront, charge you for delays, or lock you into a rigid process. We don't do any of that — and we'll help you spot the ones who do.

WHAT YOU'RE DEALING WITH
The rebuild process is harder than it should be.
Just not with us.

Insurance underpayment, permit delays, contractors who disappear after a deposit —

we've seen it all. Here's what we hear from families every day:

Insurance is offering less than it costs to rebuild

Settlements rarely cover today's real construction costs. We document everything properly and can work alongside your adjuster or public adjuster to close the gap.

Permits are moving slowly and timelines keep shifting

Settlements rarely cover today's real construction costs. We document everything properly and can work alongside your adjuster or public adjuster to close the gap.

Some contractors take deposits, go quiet, and bury you in scary contracts.

Active job sites you can visit, references you can call, no charges for delays, and contracts written in plain language. We show up every day — and we're easy to find.

We come to your lot, assess the site, and walk you through what's involved — no obligation.

Plans & Permits

We coordinate with architects and engineers and navigate LA County permitting on your behalf.

Site Prep & Foundation

Grading, compaction, foundation — done right with proper testing and inspection sign-offs at every lift.

Framing to Finish

Full construction with real-time updates. You're never guessing where your project stands.

Final Walkthrough

We don't consider it done until you're satisfied. Punch list, final inspections, keys in hand.

INSURANCE GUIDANCE

Your settlement may not cover the real cost.

Insurance companies use depreciated values and outdated cost data. We help you understand what your rebuild actually costs — and how to document it properly.

What we can help you understand

The difference between ACV (actual cash value) and RCV (replacement cost value) payouts — and why it matters for your rebuild budget.

Detailed scopes & documentation

We provide thorough written scopes of work that support your insurance claim and give adjusters what they need to properly evaluate your loss.

Working with your public adjuster

If you're using a public adjuster to dispute your settlement, we can coordinate directly with them to align our estimates with their appraisal process.

Code upgrade allowances

Rebuilding to current code often costs more than your original home. Many policies include ordinance and law coverage — we help you identify and use it.

Important: We are not a public adjuster and don't provide legal or insurance advice. What we do is build — and we make sure our estimates are thorough, accurate, and useful to your team.

WHY CEDARS BUILDERS

COMMON QUESTIONS

Things people ask us

How long does a full fire rebuild take? A full rebuild in LA County typically takes 12–18 months from lot clearance to final inspection, depending on plan complexity, permit timelines, and site conditions.

Do I need to have plans before I call you? No. We can help you find the right architect and coordinate the design process from the beginning. Many clients come to us with nothing but a cleared lot — that's fine.

Can you start before my insurance is settled? Yes — we can begin consultation, lot assessment, plan coordination, and permitting while your insurance claim is still processing. Getting started now means less delay once funding is confirmed.

Do you work on partial rebuilds or just full lots? Both. We handle everything from complete new construction on a bare lot to partial rebuilds, fire damage repairs, and additions.
